Credit Union CU Plex construction well underway!
Construction status… The Credit Union CU Plex (multipurpose facility) started construction in August 2010. We anticiapte completion of the Northland Power Curling Centre in June 2012. The Dekker Centre for the Performing Arts is scheduled for completion for May 2012, the Battlefords Co-op Aquatic Centre for April 2012 and the fieldhouse for September 2012.

We’re one season way from the first curling rock being thrown at the Northland Power Curling Centre. And, as noted elsewhere, we’re less than a year way from our first event booking!
We need to get planning for our Grand Opening…so I’m looking for 6-8 committee members willing to plan and implement the celebration our of curling past and future.

Improving your ability to perform any skill is largely dependent on practice. Although curling at the club level is largely social, time spent practicing can improve your ability to perform and ultimately your enjoyment of the sport. Developing a basic level of proficiency with the physical aspects of the game also provides opportunity to focus on the mental aspects. The CURLING SCHOOL offers the following suggestions for putting in some 'practice time'. Contact the club manager to determine the availability of ice time.
